DAVID M. STERN furnishes tax advisory and representation services to clients of the firm as well as to practicing accountants, attorneys and their respective clients. He has tried cases in the United States Tax Court and the Federal Courts of Appeals and routinely conducts tax matters before state and local administrative and judicial bodies. Mr. Stern holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from The George Washington University, a law degree from Brooklyn Law School and a Master of Laws (in Taxation) from New York University School of Law. He also is a certified public accountant and is a frequent speaker before various professional groups.

LAURENCE KEISER, LL.M. (Tax), CPA, is a partner at the New York City and White Plains law firm of Stern, Keiser & Panken, L.L.P. where he specializes in income tax planning and litigation and estate planning, drafting and administration.
Larry holds a B.S. in accounting from New York University, a J.D. from the St. John’s University School of Law, and an LL.M. in taxation from the New York University School of Law. He is a former officer (Treasurer and Vice President) and director of the New York State Society of CPA’s and a past chairman of many of its committees. (including Relations with the Internal Revenue Service.) He is also a past president of its Westchester Chapter.
Larry has served on various tax and estate and trust committees of the New York State and Westchester County Bar Associations, as well as local bar associations, and is a past director of the Estate Planning Council of N.Y.C. He has been a member of the House of Delegates of the New York State Bar. Presently, Larry is the Ninth Judicial District Representative to the Executive Committee of the NYS Bar Association’s Trust and Estates section, and is a past chairman of its committees on Taxation and Estate Planning. He is a past chairman of the Westchester County Bar Association’s Trust and Estates Section. He is also the President of the White Plains Bar Association.
Larry has had numerous articles published in professional journals and has been an Adjunct Professor of Taxation at the Graduate Business Schools of New York University and Long Island University. He has also been a faculty member of the Practicing Law Institute’s Annual Estate Planning Conference and the UJA Federation’s Continuing Education Programs in Westchester County and New York City.
Larry has also been a frequent lecturer and speaker for accounting and law groups. He was the author and discussion leader of the Foundation for Accounting Education’s courses (Review and Update for Experienced Individual Tax Practitioners and Advanced Estate Planning), for which he received the Outstanding Discussion Leader Award. He has chaired or presented at many tax conferences.

ANDREW I. PANKEN practices in the areas of income tax and estate planning, tax controversies and related corporate work involved in effectuating tax planning strategies. Mr. Panken, who received his B.A. (magna cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), 1974; J.D., 1977; and LL.M., in Taxation, 1982 from New York University and was a trial attorney in the Office of the Chief Council, Internal Revenue Service, 1977-1982. He is a member of the White Plains and Westchester County Bar Associations. In addition, Mr. Panken is a former member of the Board of Directors of the Estate Planning Counsel of Westchester County and is the President of the Rockland County Estate Planning Council.

SUSAN HEGQUIST ACCETTA concentrates her practice in the areas of taxation, sophisticated trust and estate planning, estate administration, guardianship and elder law. Ms. Accetta received her B.A. in Economics and Political Science (Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa) and a Master of Laws (in Taxation) from New York University and her J.D. from Fordham University School of Law. Ms. Accetta is admitted to practice in New York (1993) and New Jersey (1993) and before the U.S. Tax Court. JUDITH B. KUNREUTHER practices primarily in the fields of estate planning and estate and trust administration. She advises clients on gift and estate tax and retirement planning. KELLEY T.
